Shattered Overview

Shattered is a dramatic film about teenagers and crystal meth.

Christine Larson is a grade 12 student. She is smart, attractive, and adventurous. And she is easily bored. To escape boredom she takes risks, from bungie jumping to dating “dangerous” boys to experimenting with drugs.

Roxanne is Christine’s best friend. She is one of the top students in the school and she works hard to maintain her grades. She admires Christine’s willingness to take risks and try new things. All too frequently she is dragged along on Christine’s adventures.

Daniel is a university drop out who sells himself as a photographer. Daniel is charismatic and draws people to him easily. He preys on teenage girls, selling them meth in the city’s parks and school grounds.

When Christine meets Daniel, the sparks fly. But Daniel has the meth, and Christine wants to try it. Roxanne wants nothing to do with the drug.

Crystal meth is a highly addictive drug that can be made in basements from simple ingredients purchased at local stores. It sells for as little as $10 on the street. It is typically sold to young teenagers in high schools and middle schools but it is also sold as “candy” to children in elementary schools.

Shattered distribution and broadcast rights have not yet been finalized.
